Yew Chung International School is organizing its first-ever fundraising walkathon with the theme "Walk Towards a Greener Future". The event aims to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to adopt sustainable lifestyles and practice green living,
The event will involve students from Year 7 to 10, accompanied by teachers. Taking place on 22nd February 2024 (Thursday) and 23rd February 2024 (Friday), students from different years and classes will depart at different times to walk around The Peak. Along the designated route, various engaging activities will be set up to convey important messages about low-carbon living and environmental protection.
Through their participation in the walkathon, students will not only gain knowledge about sustainable development, but also get the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause. The event also fundraises for the construction of Block C, encouraging students and parents to actively support this endeavor for enhanced educational resources.
Event details are as follows:
Activity: Complete a full lap of the Peak Circle Walk
Date: 22nd February 2024 (Thursday) and 23rd February 2024 (Friday)
Time: 08:00 AM to 13:30 PM
Location: The Peak, Hong Kong
Dress code: PE uniform, comfortable sports shoes
List of items to bring:
• Sunscreen (sunscreen lotion, hat, sunglasses, etc.)
• Mosquito repellent
• Sufficient drinking water
• Warm jacket
• Spare money
• Backpack to carry all items, valuables are to be kept inside the school
Parent Volunteer Recruitment:
