As global citizens, YCIS students do not just spend their time behind the desks, they also stay updated on the key trends around the world. We’re feeling proud that Diya Singh and Jared Gallagher, both from Year 12, are invited to express what they think about the Belt & Road Initiative and Greater Bay Area, in a video to be presented in a business conference at the Grand Hyatt later this month.
Diya Singh aspires to become a doctor in the future. Being an active member of the debate team, she listens to news regularly and familiarises herself with the topics. She tells us, “The Belt and Road initiative connects economies together. It’d be perfect for me to go to the places, know what they are doing, and enhance my own experiences.”
Jared Gallagher, expresses how he finds the cross-cultural nature of the initiative especially important to his future career path. “It would be an interesting option to travel to those countries to contribute and do business.” he says.
